Glycation, a major factor of skin ageing, occurs when excess sugar molecules bind to collagen and elastin, forming advanced glycation end-products (A.G.E.), which are known to cause visible ageing. As a result, glycated collagen and elastin fibres lose the ability to function normally, and the body cannot break them down and replace them, leading to severe wrinkling of the skin.

The skin around the eyes is more susceptible to glycation-related ageing compared to other areas of the face because the skin is more delicate, making collagen decline more obvious in thinner tissues. A.G.E. Advanced Eye is a highly concentrated eye cream formulated to help target visible ageing in the delicate eye area, like crow’s feet lines, impacted by collagen decline and glycation. An ideal eye cream for dark circles, it is also formulated with a blend of inclusive optical effects that disperses light to minimise the appearance of dark circles across all skin tones.
